Notts Gymnastics Academy is dedicated to providing opportunities for all. We are looking for a suitable candidate to join our experienced coaching team to work across our Academy, within our highly regarded Women’s Artistic Discipline, GFA and Pre-school programmes.

The post is an ideal opportunity for a motivated and dynamic individual to join this successful club and further their coaching career, with a particular focus to learn about the development pathway for women’s artistic gymnastics.

NGA promotes “Happy Souls”, every individual “doing the right thing” and “being their best”. All of our dedicated coaches, staff and gymnasts are expected to follow these underpinning principles which create the NGA ethos.

Relevant Head of Discipline

Hours of work:

Varied throughout the week. Will include weekends.

Salary Range:

Rates vary depending on qualification and experience.

NGA has a proud history of providing opportunities for every gymnast to reach their potential at various levels within the sport.

NGA caters for a wide range of gymnastics abilities and ages with classes running from Preschool and Gymnastics For All (GFA) through to elite level in both Men’s and Women’s Artistic.

The Academy also has an inclusive programme for those with additional or specific needs, popular adults and university sessions and regularly runs additional events such as parties, holiday camps, and taster sessions.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and committed gymnastics coaches to join our excellent coaching team, who can feel proud of our ethos of striving to Be Our Best.

You will contribute to delivering quality sessions, and enable our members to benefit from taking part in gymnastics. You will help them to: develop physcially through learning fundamental movement skills, learn discipline, perseverance and resilience, build their self-confidence through their gymnastics achievements, and to make new friendships.

There will also be the opportunity to support with gymnastics parties and holiday camps.


  • BG level 1+ Gymnastics Coach (minimum) and/or Preschool qualified
  • DBS (support can be given with your online application; however, this must be received before coaching role commences)
  • Safeguarding training
  • First Aid qualification
  • Current British Gymnastics Membership
  • You must have the legal right to work in the UK


  • Safety and welfare of the gymnasts will be at the heart of what you do. We believe that people thrive when they are happy. We want our staff to model a positive attitude and outlook, making our gymnasts feel welcomed and excited to come to sessions, as this will enable all our members to progress, achieve and learn through their gymnastics
  • You will demonstrate good coaching practice in line with NGA and British Gymnastics codes of conduct
  • You will be enthusiastic, motivated, professional, and reliable. You must be able to work independently, use initiative, have a mature attitude, and be a team player
  • You will have excellent communication skills, both in your coaching and with our parents and staff
